The Méribel Valley has much to see and do – not only for the skiers amongst us. Walking Routes
With a sturdy pair of grippy boots, you’ll be able to explore some of the most breathtaking spots in the Trois Vallées on foot. Méribel alone offers 25km of well-maintained pedestrian trails, perfect for taking in the alpine beauty at a slower pace. If you’re not skiing, you can still make the most of the mountains with a pedestrian pass.
This gives you access to some of Méribel’s most scenic high-altitude walks, lets you ride the bubble lift to the summit for panoramic views across the Trois Vallées, and even hop over to Courchevel—ideal if you’d like to meet up with the skiers in your group for a leisurely mountain lunch.
Snow Shoeing
If you’re feeling a little more adventurous, snowshoeing is a wonderfully peaceful way to discover the hidden corners of the valley. It’s a chance to experience the magic of the mountains beyond the ski slopes – quiet, untouched, and truly breathtaking.
For something extra special, why not join a guided snowshoe walk with a local mountain expert? You’ll learn about the local flora and fauna while exploring areas that skis simply can’t reach. We an easily arrange half-day and full-day tours for you.
Visit the Olympic Centre
Constructed for the 1992 Albertville Winter Olympics, today this complex offers a vast range of activities – including a 25 m indoor swimming pool with slides and a heated paddling pool; a full spa and relaxation area; a well‑equipped gym; a climbing wall; ten‑pin bowling; and an ice rink.
Adventures off the slopes
Méribel offers a host of exhilarating activities for non-skiers looking to make the most of the mountains. Fat biking is a fun and fast-paced way to explore snowy trails on two wheels, bikes with extra-wide tyres mean you can cruise over snow with ease, and there are guided tours for all levels. For something more serene, try cross-country skiing; the valley offers beautiful, dedicated trails through peaceful forests and meadows.
Snowmobiling is another exciting option, set out at dusk for a thrilling ride through the snow-covered landscape, with the mountains lit by moonlight. Or, for a truly unforgettable experience, take to the skies with a tandem paragliding flight and enjoy soaring views of the Alps from above. You can also enjoy scenic horse-drawn sleigh rides, yoga sessions, or even a spot of retail therapy in Méribel’s charming village boutiques. Whether you’re seeking adventure or relaxation, there’s plenty to discover away from the ski slopes.
